Box #17191 Regina, Saskatchewan S4S 7K4 Dear Members: At the general meeting on November 15, 2007 the Association approved a proposal to sponsor Personal Assault Response Training (PART) for personal care home staff for our member homes. Training will be provided by a certified instructor who is also a member of the Association. The Personal Care Home Association will enter into a license agreement with SAHO to provide the training.Initially two training sessions will be held in Regina. Each session can accommodate up to 16 participants for up to 16 hours over a two day period. Sessions will be held: December 27-28, 2007 and January 3-4, 2008 Pasqua Neighbourhood Recreation Centre Other sessions may be held later depending upon the level of interest. The cost will be $65.00 per student which includes fees for the instructor, room rental, training materials and certificates. PART training is also available trough SIAST at a cost of $145.00 per student. . Students will be accommodated on a first come-first served bases. A cheque made out to the Regina and District Personal Care Home Association for $65.00 per student should be sent to P.O. Box #37191, Regina, Sask. S4S 7K4 by December 5, 2007. Please include a note indicating who will be attending from your care home, their phone number and which session they would like to attend. You must forward a cheque to the Association in order to have your staff member registered.
